Team - Employee discounted drinks need to be a SMALL or MEDIUM & they HAVE to be rung up on an employee account. If they are rung up without an employee account, you will be charged for a shortage that would make up the difference in the drink cost. Employee discounted drinks are for employees only. Club Cards Free Drinks

Please be aware that our company policy on use of free drinks from accounts is a follows: If customer balance is low, always ask if they want to reload or use a free drink. Free drink has to be equal or less of the value of the average of the last 10 drinks purchased. Therefore if they purchase 10 small lattes, they can't get a grande Kona Frappe as their free drink. Deposits

I'm seeing a lot of the following probalem: 1.Bills folded in the deposit envelopes 2. Received on account signed slips in the deposit envelopes, they belong at the store 3. Some shortages that have been found, the funds were in the $ bag. Please do not talk on cell phones when counting the drawers & doing deposits, concentration is a must!

Requested TIME OFF

As stated before, time off is not a guarantee. Although I do everything possible to give my staff the time off they need, sometimes it is not possible. If you requested time off and were scheduled, please go a head and cover your shifts. Two possible things could have happened - a. your request was not received in time - as you can immagine, I have a huge amount of requests and the schedule takes days to make. b. I received your time off request, but was not able to honor it based on employee availability. Thanks - Vera

CELL PHONE use at work

Team, As stated in the employee manual, cell phone use is restricted while working. DO NOT take call while working, unless you are on your break. Phones should be kept in back, on vibrate or low tone, and should NOT be heard in the customer area. Even if the phone is not answered, when it rings behind the counter it is distracting to you and our customers and does not preset us in a professional manner. This is not unreasonable or too much to ask, we have looked the other way plenty of times and feel that the time has come where we need to strictly enforce this policy. As a reminder - I canot take time off requests in email format, they must be entered in the book. There is a book at each store, you only need to enter it in one of the books. Your emails are important to me and to ensure I do NOT loose your email – please use the following in the subject box: Payroll – anything to d with punching in/out, questions about your check, payroll issues. Schedule – anything to do with a schedule question/request, availability agreement forms. Staffing – anything to do with application & referrals for potential new hires. Comment/Suggestion – have an idea or comment about the store(s)/procedures? Email me. FYI – anything that I may need to keep in mind or be aware of that does not fall into any of the other categories. Vendors – problems/comments in regards to vendors we do or may do business with. Customers - anythinging to do with customers good & bad. Personal – anything on a personal note. Resignation – formal letters of resignations (this is not one I enjoy reading :-( Thanks guys, I receive so may emails, it’s easy for them to get shuffled and lost, I want to make sure I read & respond to all of your emails. 3rd Person

The 3rd Person's Role - is a supporting role. When we have a line and have 3 people behind the cunter - 1 person should be on the bar, 1 on the register and the 3rd person floats between the stations and helps with whatever is in demand at that time. The 3rd person fills brewed coffee orders, keeps up with brewing so we don't run out, makes frappes, preps shots if trained, marks cups, etc.
